Founder: Iam Young

BuddyArmor was founded by Iam, whose early experiences with lost pets led him to rethink the way anti-loss products were designed. As a designer with a strong awareness of detail, he often found existing solutions impractical, so he began developing his own. His first product was a lightweight, elastic safety collar for cats that could be paired with different loss-prevention attachments. The idea was simple, and it quickly found a group of users who felt the design made sense in daily use. As the demand grew, Iam brought together several other designers who were also pet owners, and the project gradually formed into a company. The name BuddyArmor reflects the brand’s intention to create dependable, thoughtfully made items for everyday pet safety and comfort. From our perspective, BuddyArmor offers a calm, functional approach to pet accessories, and this is why we chose to include the brand in our selection.
