Cotton Plaid Dog Shirt
Designed for Italian Greyhounds and Whippets, this close-fitting shirt is made with pre-washed, pre-shrunk fabric to keep sizing and color stable after regular washing. A practical sleeve tab detail allows cuffs to be rolled and secured for flexible everyday styling and subtle visual layering. With a moderate thickness, the non-elastic fabric holds its shape well, maintaining a clean, streamlined silhouette while staying comfortable for daily wear and natural movement.
Design & Materiality
1. Pre-Washed & Pre-Shrunk Fabric Treatment
Fit matters most for close-fitting garments. We chose to pre-wash and pre-shrink the fabric in advance, so the size and color remain stable after regular washing, allowing the piece to maintain its original proportions over time.
2. Sleeve Tab Detail for Practical Styling
A thoughtfully designed sleeve tab allows the cuffs to be rolled up and secured in place. This detail adds visual layering to the silhouette while offering greater flexibility and convenience in daily wear.
3. Designed for Sighthound Breeds
We chose this piece with Italian Greyhounds and Whippets in mind. The cut accommodates long necks and slender body lines, creating a fit that feels secure while remaining visually streamlined.
4. Moderate Thickness for Daily Comfort
The fabric thickness is moderate, offering comfort without heaviness. It is non-elastic and holds its shape well, helping the shirt maintain a neat appearance through regular movement and daily wear.

Neck: Wrap the measuring tape around your dog's neck, where the collar will be placed. Make sure to keep the tape comfortably loose.
Chest: Wrap the measuring tape around the largest part of your dog's belly.
Back length: Run the measuring tape from the start of the neck to where the tail starts.
Measure Without a Tape:
You can use a string, ribbon, phone charger cable, or leash to wrap around the dog's neck or chest, mark the spot where it overlaps with your finger, and then measure that length against a ruler or with the Measure app on your iPhone.
